Bethany College of Nursing Hosts Grand

March 1, 2025 – Bethany College of Nursing celebrated its prestigious Lamp Lighting & Graduation Ceremony with great enthusiasm at the college auditorium. The event, marking a significant milestone in the journey of nursing students, commenced at 5:00 PM with a warm welcome song by B.C.N students.
The program was inaugurated with a formal procession of lamp lighting and graduation students, followed by a mesmerizing welcome dance. Dignitaries, faculty members, students, and proud parents gathered to witness this momentous occasion. The lighting of the lamp, a sacred tradition symbolizing the beginning of a noble nursing career, was conducted by esteemed dignitaries.
Rev. Fr. Babu Michael OIC, Director, delivered the Welcome Address, while Very Rev. Dr. Cyril Anand OIC, Provincial Superior of Bethany Navajeevan Province, presented the Presidential Address. The keynote address was given by Ms. Jigi Pradeep, Chief Nursing Officer of Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurgaon, Haryana, who inspired students with her words of wisdom.
The Felicitation Ceremony was graced by Rev. Dr. John Christopher OIC, Councillor for Education, Bethany Navajeevan Province, along with Prof. Mrs. Sandhya Peyush, Vice Principal. The Annual Report was presented by Prof. Dr. Mrs. Beny Susan Chacko, Principal, highlighting the achievements and progress of the institution.
One of the most awaited moments was the Lamp Lighting Ceremony, where 1st-year nursing students of the 17th batch (2024-2025) took their first step into the profession. Following this, Prof. Dr. Mrs. Beny Susan Chacko led the Oath-Taking Ceremony, reinforcing the values and ethics of nursing.
The Graduation Ceremony honored the 12th batch of B.Sc. Nursing (2019-2023), celebrating their dedication and hard work. Students officially took their professional oath under the guidance of the principal. This was followed by the Prize Distribution Ceremony, where dignitaries on the dais awarded meritorious students for their outstanding performance.
A vibrant Cultural Event featuring performances by B.C.N students added color and joy to the evening.
The event was a memorable occasion, reflecting the commitment of Bethany College of Nursing in shaping competent and compassionate nursing professionals for the future.
